Our Story

Founded in 1994,  inspired by a life-long passion for fishing, love of this watershed, and experience providing world-class service in renown resorts, Kevin van Bueren has established North Cascades Fly Fishing  as the longest standing fly fishing guide service in the Methow Valley.

Experience

All of our guides are local and know the fishing here intimately.  With 75 years of combined experience fishing throughout the U.S. and abroad, our guides can provide top-rate service to anyone from the beginner to the seasoned angler.

North Cascades Fly Fishing is very proud to be a donating member to many local non-profits concerned with habitat, local educational opportunities and community outreach. As an active member of this community, owner, Kevin van Bueren serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Methow Conservancy, Methow Trails Association and member of the Upper Columbia River Fishery Committee, and was one of the founding members of the Methow Fly Fishers Club.  Kevin was a spokesperson for the Methow Headwaters campaign that  successfully petitioned to protect federal lands in the upper watershed of the Methow Valley  from the risk of industrial-scale mining.
